Cindi Boston serves as vice president of Heartbeat International. She oversees expanding and funding the mission to Reach and Rescue as many lives as possible worldwide through an effective network of life-affirming pregnancy help. Cindi works tirelessly to advance Heartbeat’s global impact, ensuring sustainability and growth. She leads Heartbeat’s advocacy efforts, including Heartbeat’s Babies Go to Congress, where moms and babies, served and saved by pregnancy centers, meet with U.S. lawmakers.
A graduate of Evangel University, Cindi earned her degree in mental health and worked in faith and business settings. While volunteering in the community, Cindi was deeply moved by broken families, many of whom suffered from the devastating effects of abortion-related trauma. In 1988, she joined the pregnancy help movement as a volunteer at her local pregnancy center.
In 1998, Cindi was named to the first Pregnancy Care Center (PCC) Board of Directors in Springfield, MO. As Executive Director, she oversaw PCC’s launch and development for the next 20 years while also serving on the Missouri Alliance for Life Board of Directors and leading as the chairwoman. By 2016, Cindi’s faith-based, servant leadership style resulted in nearly 250,000 lives being impacted, a reduction in teen pregnancy rates, and abortion rates decreased by more than 50 percent.
Cindi worked to pass pro-woman/pro-life legislation, which created safer and health-conscious services for women and children in Missouri.
As a long-time affiliate leader of Heartbeat International, Cindi was honored with the Heartbeat International Servant-Leader award in 2011.
Before being named vice president in 2016, Cindi served on Heartbeat’s Board of Directors from 2013-2015. Continually sharing stories of big wins in the battle for life, Cindi points out the best alternative to abortion is another person – that is, a compassionate person at the pregnancy center providing unconditional love and emotional support to a scared and confused mom so she can welcome new life.
Cindi is married to Steve and is the proud mother of two sons, Josh and Caleb.
